Khalil Abdul Wahid is an Emirati plastic artist. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in "Workforce Education & Development" and holds an Associate Degree in Computer-Aided Drafting & Design from the Pennsylvania College of Technology-USA. He is currently the Director of the Fine Arts Department, Dubai Culture & Arts Authority. In addition to serving as Chairman of Emirates Fine Arts Society from 2009 to 2010, Khalil also curated the 30th Emirates Fine Arts Society Annual Exhibition at the Sharjah Art Museum, while working as an active member on the Advisory Board of the Department of Visual Communication at the American University of Dubai. He participated in many local, regional and international exhibitions and received many awards and honors, including "Suad Al-Sabah Creativity Prize", the International Visual Arts Award (Youth category). recognition award at 3rd Sharjah Biennale, GCC Youth Exhibition prize (Qatar), "Golden Palm-Leaf Award" - GCC Artists Exhibition (Kuwait), GCC Youth Exhibition prize (KSA), first prize at the annual exhibition of Emirates Fine Arts Society and the top prize at GCC Youth Exhibition (Dubai). In addition, he also served as a member of the arbitration committees of several prestigious local and regional art competitions
